AND I think he knew that since he has seen me writing on other sites even if he missed that particular post...

The other point is that any adoption of my position helps more men then women, as they are the ones most likely to have sex with teens...so they are arguing against something that helps themselves.

I think that it upsets them when they can't paint me as hating all men...it's conflicts with their view of what this blog is about...NYMOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762350054432716749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740475.post-5259225868255569682009-05-28T19:57:49.851-04:002009-05-28T19:57:49.851-04:00I had the beginnings of a headache when I surfed b...I had the beginnings of a headache when I surfed by...Now my head's REALLY throbbing!
I surely don't know how to straighten this legal BS out...Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03152215204773184788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740475.post-70036030065749666622009-05-20T19:10:08.958-04:002009-05-20T19:10:08.958-04:00"Me, I want a predator like that on a registry som..."Me, I want a predator like that on a registry somewhere so I can keep my kid the hell away from her house."

Typical. Wasting the time and resources of law enforcement on nonsense when serious criminals are loose...no wonder they can't keep track of real predators (and let's face it 99.9% of them are men). They have the registry overflowing with idiots having sex with teenagers... (again, 99.9% of them men).

"But this topic doesn't interest me much so I don't think I'll post on this thread again."

OR my interpretation: you were outed for trying to smear me, so now you are no longer interested.

Fine.

"By the way, you need to get over yourself if you think I take all this seriously enough to "deliberately distort" any of your ideas. This is light entertainment only for me. My wife plays computer Scrabble to relax, I chime in Women as Mothers..."

No Richard, you need to get over me...I consider it serious when people try to damage my reputation so don't try it again.NYMOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762350054432716749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740475.post-84502056487552791202009-05-20T19:01:55.493-04:002009-05-20T19:01:55.493-04:00"I had in mind a discussion at Gonz's where you sa..."I had in mind a discussion at Gonz's where you said that if a fifteen-year old is old enough to be tried as an adult that he/she is old enough to consent to sex."

Yes but I never made it exclusive to girls...we were discussing (if my memory serves me correctly) teenagers who commit murder and are tried as adults. I simply stated that society can't have it both ways. It can't claim that teenagers are too young to decide when to have sex and then turn around and try them as adults for murder.

It's inconsistent.

"And that a teacher who preys upon a teenage boy should be fired and maybe get probation but should not go to jail since "teenage boys are not harmed by these encounters."

That's correct, these encounters demonstrate no lasting damage to teenage boys. Actually most young men are initiated into sex by older women (or at least used to be).

"I guess you don't consider it "harm" for an adult female to possibly force a foolish young boy into fatherhood, legal troubles and support obligations while he's still a child."

Well child support guidelines do change the equation today, but I don't think that was part of the discussion. We were talking about emotional damage being done and I don't believe any emotional damage is done by teenage boys having encounters with older women.

It's not a criminal matter but a morals issue and should be handled accordingly: job and license loss for the adult involved, community censure, etc., not jail time.

However this is a far cry from what you were trying to compare me with: Polish Knight having sex with teenage prostitutes versus my opinion on how statutory rape should be handled...

Actually I don't even think statutory rape should be called rape. That label should be reserved for actual non-consensual sex...NYMOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762350054432716749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740475.post-8527296032160100712009-05-20T10:02:04.482-04:002009-05-20T10:02:04.482-04:00Thanks for the post NY but this isn't the post I w...Thanks for the post NY but this isn't the post I was talking about. Probably derailing his higher education long before it starts, and killing his chances for a good career and eventual marriage to a high-quality woman like my wife and PK's who want to build solid families free of entanglements with previous children and exes (especially pedophilic ones).

Me, I want a predator like that on a registry somewhere so I can keep my kid the hell away from her house.

But this topic doesn't interest me much so I don't think I'll post on this thread again.

By the way, you need to get over yourself if you think I take all this seriously enough to "deliberately distort" any of your ideas. It clears a lot of things up. It'...Good post NYMOM. It clears a lot of things up. It's because of distortions like this that I just stopped reading certain people's comments. All they do is deliberately twist things around and project their ideas on to everyone else. A friend of mine, who has read the other post, told me that I was accused of not reading certain comments. She's right, I'm not reading them, nor responding to them anymore. I can see that some of the other female commentators are starting to follow suit.

KimberlyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
